TURNIP, SAUSAGE AND SESAME SKEWERS WITH BROCCOLI SOUP AND LIME POPPYSEED MUFFINS

Hey guess whats in season?  Turnips.  Hey what do you do with turnips?  You cut them in cubes, skewer them, top them with sausage and dip them in egg and black sesame seeds.  Then you deep fry them.  Then you drizzle a teeny-tiny bit of honey on them (if your sausage is peppery).  This is my creation inspired by this recipe for pancetta and sesame-coated turnips.

The last pic is a broccoli soup made with only three ingredients: broccoli, chicken stock and cream.  Well… add some salt and pepper if you need.

Also made some lime-poppyseed muffins.  Here’s a recipe for the lemon version, just substitute lime.  And add a bit more than they suggest… so many recipes are just bland.
